I recently learned about a type of poetry where you take magnets with different words on them and use them to form a poem. I must say, I was not a huge fan of the idea when I heard about it. I thought it was kind of silly to limit your thoughts to the word magnets you were given. I thought it seemed crazy to only include the words in front of you, as opposed to the million you already have floating around your brain. After I was passed a metal tray with a plethora of words stuck to it, I jumped right in. At the end of the process, I had fallen in love. It was rewarding to know that I could make something out of the limited options in front of me. My first magnetic poem is posted below. Have you ever seen/heard of this before?
