The Power of Poetry

One of the reasons poetry is so important is because it can evoke powerful feelings. The poem shared here was written and preformed by these girls on many different television shows and media platforms. The Poetry of Children

I think it is important to know when an obsession starts. I became obsessed with poetry through my mother reading  nursery rhymes to me. This one is my favorite nursery rhyme from my childhood. Post your favorite nursery rhyme! Have you ever heard/read mine? It is so short but even as a child I was moved by the rhythm of the words. I have had this poem memorized for as long as I can remember. What do you think about it?
